As an office, we have made our claim “To design for the unknown”. This means that, as architects and people, we take on a humble position. It surges from a process of truly listening to people, communities and environments. Change is an opportunity. We want to lead people towards durable solutions and designs that enhance feelings of closeness, well-being and hopefully, happiness.

MESURA is proud of not being a “signature” design firm. We have intentionally never developed a stylistic formula for our work, which is why our projects never quite look or feel the same. Each of our spaces is the result of our ability to listen, which has turned our designs and buildings into personal reflections of our clients’ personalities and values, which we co-construct through research, workshops and surveys.

In MESURA, every project is an open ended enquiry, helping people to challenge their existing state and work towards an alternative, desired one. We provide guidance, expertise and experience across all phases in the architectural process, ranging from thinking, to designing, building, and ultimately finding the right way to communicate the results.

*As part of our goal to constantly improve as a practice, we use a cycle of measuring and monitoring we have came to know as feedback loops. This process enables our team to come up with real-time responses to customer feedback.

MESURA is a team of designers, architects, creative directors and technical engineers. In addition to our numerous awarded projects, we have been honored to have been listed the Rising Star (WAN 2018), Emergent Studio (Dezeen 2018) and won the prize for Best Young Architects of Catalonia (AJAC for construction and landscaping), the AR House Award (CASA IV) and the Europan in 2011.

Aside from our team, now a group of about thirty people, we like to surround ourselves with the best specialists, in accordance to the needs of every project. Having acted in various roles in our field, we have partnered up with other architecture firms and have worked with a wide variety of people and teams with whom we have established synergies and friendships. This way of working has enabled us to be local, when working in the most remote of places.
