Villa Malaparte

Coffee table is inspired by villa Malaparte, which appeared in movie Le Mépris (1963) by Jean-Luc Godard. Villa is located on the Capri island in Italy and was build in 1937 by architect Adalberto Libera for Curzio Malaparte. It is one of the best examples of modern Italian architecture. Casa Malaparte is miniaturisation of architecture into furniture. It is dislocation of architecture from an urban reality into ones living room. Painted MDF and marble top.
